This will be the news and information thread for Farming Simulator 2013.

12/07/12 - Olii
Below is an interview with GIANTS. If you can understand what they're saying, then lucky you Tongue but from what we can see from the video, a Kuhn tedder is being worked on in the background. This implies that Kuhn could be a new brand in FS13. Also part way through a Playstation 3 can be seen in the background, which could imply multiple platforms.

Yesterday on the 'WiiU blog', it was said that Farming Simulator 2013 will be on the Wii U, though little information came with it.

In the last few days, many of you may of seen that a new vehicle appeared in the top right of the official Farming Simulator forum. This appears to be a Case Quadrack, though we haven't seen any other news to say if this is a brand in FS13.

12/07/12 - Russ
Page appearing to show that Farming Simulator 2013 is coming to the Playstation 3 in September. The cover shot shown is a known "placeholder" image, and not the final cover shot.

Polish press release for Farming Simulator 2013 with translation. Doesn't appear to show all the information, but it's a good indication of what is to come. XBOX360 and PS3 versions also announced.

French page (translated) appearing to announce a Playstation Vita and Windows Tablet version of Farming Simulator 2013. Also confirms PS3, Xbox360 and Wii-U versions.

More when we know Smiley

New news from Giants about the new Farming Simulator 2013, Source

A list of the confirmed news and features of LS 13, not all of which are explicitly mentioned on the website, but of interest to the community and modders are:

LS 13:

  • Improved in-game shop screen. Vehicles and equipment are divided into categories and much more we can order the devices on the manufacturer. Also works for mods, ie there is no longer just a "mod" category but "Mod Tractors," "Mod plows," "Mod Cultivator," and so mods can also be sorted by manufacturer.
  • Vehicles can now be sold directly from your local dealer, so it is clear what is being sold. Otherwise, it always sells the vehicle in which you currently are, or the device that is currently docked.
  • Maintenance costs for vehicles and equipment
  • 30 Great Games, showing the name and image of the map for better savegame management.
  • Field sales: fields must be purchased in the game first before they can be edited. The implementation can be thought of using SRS. Modding: fields with defined transform groups and provided with a price attribute.
  • Mature grain breaks down when it gets too long not harvested. The period is not yet known, but one has enough time. And if it is running but there are the following new feature which provides a longer time:
  • The time scale can be accelerated or slowed down during the game.
  • BGA has 4 driving silos, which are much larger than the LS11 BGA.
  • Scale: 1:1
  • dynamic top link and PTO dynamic
  • Update notification when new reports are patches online.

  • New trailer attacher point: "semitrailer" serves as Sattelaufliegerattacher. Functionality can be seen in the screenshot with the Siga duo and 35 of the Kroeger SRB.
  • New definitions for dynamic attacher PTO and top link
  • Placeable objects (solar, wind turbines, etc.) can be modded.

  • The new editor and the engine warning, if not optimized textures are loaded (zbsp. jpg, png, etc, so not everything. Dds is).
  • Improved NavMesh create the editor for animal grazing. There is new a layer on which the pastures can be "painted up" in the editor, to be later converted into a NavMesh.
